Sydney Christiansen from Windsor Central Middle School Wins Leonard Bus Sales Young Scholar of the Game Award

December 14, 2015, Deposit, N.Y. – Leonard Bus Sales and the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators have teamed up to recognize one outstanding area middle school student at every home game during the 2015-2016 season.

The Young Scholar of the Game for November 20th was Sydney Christiansen from Windsor Central Middle School.

“Partnering with the Binghamton Senators and our local school districts to recognize some of the best and brightest students in our area is a huge thrill,” said Leonard Bus Sales CEO Mike Leonard. “These kids work hard in school, and it’s fantastic to be able to reward them and their families with a fun night of great hockey.”

Each Young Scholar receives four tickets to the game, recognition over the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena’s public address system and video board, and a visit and prize from the Binghamton Senators mascot, Max.

Participating schools determine which student is awarded. School staff, family and friends are also eligible for discounted game tickets on the night that student is recognized.

The story was also published in the December 16th edition of the Windsor Standard and the December 30th edition of the Deposit Courier.
