July 24, 2013, Albany, N.Y. – School district officials and pupil transportation experts from across the state gathered in Albany last week for the New York Association for Pupil Transportation’s annual conference, and the team from Leonard Bus Sales was there in force. The gathering, held on July 14-17 in Albany, gave the school transportation community a chance to talk about the latest industry issues, including the conference theme of “Safety First.”
The trade show portion of the conference was held on Monday July 15th at the Times Union Center. The Leonard Bus Sales team was on hand to make sure attendees knew Leonard as a One-Stop-Shop for all their school bus needs, from sales and service, to parts and training.
“This is an important gathering for the school transportation community and for us, with a focus on the safe transportation of students,” said Leonard Bus Sales President Mike Leonard. “It gives school transportation leaders a chance to improve their safety and efficiency. And it gives our team a chance to show how our commitment to customer support and our One-Stop-Shop approach can help them achieve these goals.”
The annual gathering ran for four days, with presentations and workshops on everything from state school transportation aid to the dangers of distracted driving. Other than the ever popular trade show, one of the highlights was the opening night party, co-hosted by Leonard Bus Sales and organized by the New York State Bus Distributors Association.
