October 2, 2013, Guilderland, N.Y. – In recent weeks, Leonard Bus Sales delivered eight new IC Bus™ CE Series buses to the Guilderland Central School District. The buses, delivered on September 20th, each seat 66 passengers and will be used to replace eight Blue Bird buses that were over ten years old.
“At Leonard Bus Sales, we know that one of the most affordable ways for a school district to green-up their bus fleet is with new clean-diesel buses,” said Frank Continetti, sales director at Leonard Bus Sales. “We are pleased to be working with Guilderland Central Schools to help them improve the overall fuel efficiency of their entire fleet with the addition of these new, clean diesel buses from IC Bus.”
The clean diesel buses of today are 20 times cleaner than the diesel buses of just ten years ago. By simply adding these newer buses, the Guilderland Central School District will bring the average age of its fleet down and improve the fleet’s fuel efficiency. Add to that Leonard Bus Sales’ industry-leading customer support, including parts, service, training and fleet management, and these buses will help keep the Guilderland School Districts’ entire fleet more environmentally-friendly, affordable and safe for years to come.
