EPA Rebate Grants Available for Greening-Up Fleet with New Clean-Diesel Buses, Apply Now

October 21, 2014, Deposit, N.Y. – At Leonard Bus Sales, we know that the most affordable way to green up your fleet is by replacing older school buses with new, clean-diesel buses. Now, grants by the Environmental Protection Agency can make the transition to new, clean diesel buses even more affordable.

As part of the Diesel Emission Reduction Program (DERA), the EPA is offering a total of $3 million in rebates through the 2014 School Bus Replacement Funding Opportunity.

“It’s always a sound investment to replace aging buses with new, clean diesel ones,” said Leonard Bus Sales Director of Marketing & Transportation Advisor Jon Leonard. “These grants can make the move to improved efficiency even more affordable.”

Application to the rebate program is open to both public and private fleets that replace older school buses with new, clean diesel ones. But don’t delay, applications must be received by November 17, 2014 at 4 p.m. EST.  To see if your fleet is eligible, and to find out how to apply, visit http://www.epa.gov/otaq/diesel/dera-rebate-schoolbus14.htm.

All funding decisions are made by the EPA.
