Leonard Bus Sales Begins 2018 with Pursuit of Excellence Honor from IC Bus: Company Attributes Success to Having Best Team in the Industry

Saratoga Springs, NY, January 31, 2018 — IC Bus recently announced that they have honored seven bus dealers from across the country with its Pursuit of Excellence dealership award and Leonard Bus Sales has once again been named a winner.  This marks the fifth time in six-years that Leonard Bus Sales has earned the prestigious award.

IC Bus stated that the Pursuit of Excellence recipients have demonstrated excellence in improving customer satisfaction, sales and market share.

“Each year, IC Bus has the honor of learning how dealers across the country are elevating the bus industry and creating value for our customers,” said Trish Reed, Vice President & General Manager, IC Bus. “The companies receiving these awards are world class dealerships that are experiencing growth, investing in their community, and developing strong partnerships with their customers.”

“Winning the IC Bus Pursuit of Excellence award for a fifth time in six-years is a testament to having the best team in the business,” said Jon Leonard, Vice President, Leonard Bus Sales.  “Our team makes it easy for our customers to do their jobs and our customized support and solutions go way beyond the bus.  We are proud of our team’s accomplishment and thankful for the partnership we have with our customers.

The awards are based on 2017 dealer performance in several key areas, including growing market share and exceeding annual sales plans.  In addition, dealers were required to meet community service requirements to be eligible to receive the award.  One of the biggest community initiatives that Leonard Bus Sales supports is its new school-based backpack program that provides meals for hungry children through the company’s partnership with local food banks.

Launched in the summer of 2017, Leonard Bus Sales has partnered with seven regional food banks across the state, to help end child hunger and raise awareness.  Instead of spending money on promotional giveaways at industry conferences and events, Leonard Bus Sales established partnerships with local food banks and now allocates those resources to helping hungry children.  The school-based backpack and food pantry program services fifty-seven counties across New York and provides meals to children when they are not in school.

“Giving back to the communities we serve is very important and we are honored to be recognized by IC Bus for our efforts,” Leonard continued.  “As a family-owned business, we truly appreciate the communities we serve; our school-based backpack and food pantry program is just one way we can give back to our community.”
