- How To Reset the Allison Transmission Service Indicator - We have received some customer calls asking about resetting the "Service Transmission" light on their IC Bus after changing the external filter. If you do not have the Allison DOC For PC-Service Tool to do the job, the light can be reset by taking the following steps: With the ignition turned on and the engine not running, select N-D-N-D-N-R-N on the transmission shift selector, pausing briefly (less than 3 seconds) between each selector movement. Your "Service Transmission" light will be reset.
