LBS Grand Opening – Rome NY


Leonard Bus Sales celebrated the opening of our bus service facility in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome, New York.

A Grand Opening and Open House was held at the 730 Ellsworth Road address on Wednesday, November 18th, and attendees included area school officials, bus contractors, local dignitaries, and Leonard Bus employees. We received a very warm welcome from the City of Rome, the Rome Chamber of Commerce, and the Mohawk Valley EDGE/Griffiss Local Development Corporation.

Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Thomas A. Rahn presented the Chamber's First Dollar of Profit award to Ed Joyce, VP of Operations, immediately followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new facility provides:

• An easily accessible service point for transportation providers in the region

• A complete line of warranty and retail repair services

• The 4,700 ft˛ facility includes four fully equipped service bays

• A complete bus repair parts inventory

• Access to International Truck and Engine and IC Corporation service and parts systems

• A staff of fully trained service technicians managed by long-time LBS employee, Mark Ingham
