Top Three Finish for Suffolk Transportation School Bus Driver in International Safety Competition

October 5, 2015, Deposit, N.Y. – John Moore of Suffolk Transportation finished third in the small bus category at the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition.  The annual event, hosted by the National School Transportation Association, was held in July at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minnesota.

Top drivers from across the US and Canada competed in the 45th edition of the event which included a written test and a drivers road course.  Conventional and Transit bus categories were also included.

“The entire team at Leonard Bus Sales congratulates John Moore for his wonderful accomplishment,” said Leonard Bus Sales Vice President Jon Leonard.  “Finishing in the top three in an international driver safety competition takes incredible skill, and as a top driver, Mr. Moore demonstrates what matters most to school districts, school bus contractors and Leonard Bus Sales – student safety.”

Moore’s third place finish follows his first place result at the New York School Bus Contractors Association’s (NYSBCA) 44th annual New York State School Bus Safety Competition in May at Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, NY.
