Leonard Bus Sales Donates Injection Pump to Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Class

February 2, 2016, Rome, N.Y. – Leonard Bus Sales recently donated an injection pump to the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Outdoor Power Equipment class. The injection pump will be used by current and future students for hands-on engine troubleshooting, repair and training.

Class instructor Doug Pilbeam initially asked about borrowing some repair manuals for instructional purposes, but Leonard Bus Sales Service Manager Rob Frost and Parts Specialist Mike Piatkowski, both from the company’s Rome facility, wanted to do more for the class.

Rob and Mike are both graduates of the program and considered it an invaluable part of their early vocational training. They knew how important a brand new injection pump would be for the student’s education, and that’s why Leonard Bus Sales donated it.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to help other mechanics-in-training and possibly even future Leonard Bus Sales team members,” said Piatkowski. “This class had a huge impact on my life and helped me begin my 15 year career as a mechanic. Rob and myself, along with entire Leonard Bus Sales team, couldn’t be happier in making this donation — this is truly a great program.”
